Why we exist

KulturRegion connects people with what makes their home special: real encounters, traditional knowledge, and fresh ideas for leisure time.

Think regionally We collaborate with local stakeholders, promote short distances, and preserve the character of villages and towns.

Make culture tangible Whether crafts, music, or customs – we show where tradition remains alive and how you can become part of it yourself.

Create spaces for freedom Our offerings invite you to try something new, find peace, and see your surroundings with fresh eyes.

Show impact Those who join us not only discover events but also find connections, learn new things, and actively shape community life.

From Idea to Platform

KulturRegion emerged from the desire to bundle the diversity of the local landscape, traditions, and contemporary art in one place. What began with a small editorial team and a loose collection of event notices has developed into a fixed entity in the regional cultural calendar.

Today, we reach several thousand readers monthly and collaborate with over fifty local partners – from museums to hiking clubs to manufacturers. The decision to focus on high-quality texts and real encounters has proven to be sustainable.

2018

Founding and First Steps

The project starts as a blog with twelve articles on regional exhibitions and hiking trails. The response is surprisingly large – within a year, the readership doubles.

2020

Restructuring in Crisis

During the pandemic, the digital magazine is created. Instead of canceling, we develop virtual tours and podcasts on craft history. The reach triples.

2022

Network Expansion

Cooperation with the tourism association and establishment of our own event database. A printed annual review appears for the first time in an edition of 5,000 copies.

2024

New Formats and Outlook

Introduction of theme weeks on sustainability and regional cuisine. The platform becomes a meeting point for cultural workers and guests – with regular readings and market stalls on site.
